The musicians themselves say about the new single "Fake Into Real":
"The lyrics are all about the new way of using the media to build fake news, fake lives and to manipulate us into believing what is fake to be real. How that can build hatred, hope and false beliefs among people and entire countries. How it ultimately can be used as a weapon. We need to stop and reflect on how this is affecting us and the world." "The song starts very dark and apocalyptic to then quickly ease into a double bass drum inferno on the verses. Melodic vocals, pounding bass and drums with riffing guitars. Powerful and melodic choruses and to top it off a superb guitar solo with an epic ending." (Jimmy)

MOTHER MISERY informs about the single "The Predator":
"'The Predator' was recorded in the same session as our last album 'From Shadow To Ghost'. We felt the track had a different vibe to the rest of the songs and decided to keep it for a special release. When we invited David 'DaKe' Isberg, known for Blood Of Jupiter and as a founding member of Opeth, to add some of his deep growl to the song, it felt complete and even more special. The song has a driving riff, a mellow verse and a melodic chorus, along with a nice breakdown in the middle."

MOTHER MISERY is a Swedish band that plays a special, individual mix of edgy Hard'n'heavy Rock and Melodic Metal. They also give their music a certain Nordic charm - as only they can. The musicians have thus created their very own genre: SUPERSONIC ROCK!

Founded in 1998, MOTHER MISERY released their debut album "Grandiosity" in 2004 and its successor "All Eyes On You" three years later on the well-known underground label Daredevil Records.

After another three years, "Standing Alone" was released as the third and finally "Megalodon" in 2018 as the fourth long-player. In addition to the studio albums, two EPs were also released: "For The Crows" (2006) and "Deadication" in 2018.





Even back then, the stylish quartet was praised by fans and the trade press for its distinctive dynamics in terms of melody and vocals. Their latest release "Megalodon" is bursting with catchy choruses, rousing hooklines and a unique blend of heaviness and lightness that can make your head and hips move in equal measure.

The all-round fit Swedish foursome from Enköping also have a lot to show live, having already shared the stages of this world with well-established genre institutions such as Entombed, Queensrÿche, Lynch Mob, Sepultura, Life Of Agony, Deathstars, The Quireboys and Evergrey, and have received good reviews from the fans in attendance across the board.

This consistent band can also boast festival experience, having performed at the Dutch Zwarte Cross Festival, for example, which was attended by more than 150,000 people.

On December 15th, 2023 album number five, "From Shadow To Ghost", was released via Doc Gator Records, this time exclusively on vinyl, which will be available in three different colors and in the best proven Doc Gator quality.




MOTHER MISERY say about their new output:
"'From Shadow To Ghost' is not only our fifth studio album, but also our most progressive work to date. We continue to serve up our strong melodies, the usual heavy riffs, a bombastic bass and our powerful drums. All this combined with a fat, wide and tight mix and master makes 'From Shadow To Ghost' a release that every heavy and hard rocker should have on their radar."

About the thematic focus, singer and guitarist John Hermansen informs as follows:
"Well, I've never thought of or tried to make a 'theme album' before, but when I look at the lyrics of 'From Shadow To Ghost', I see a pattern and a little red line running through all the songs that I didn't even recognize at first. Basically, it's about how we treat each other, how we shape the world and what we leave our children."

After Black, Thrash and Power Metal, Doc Gator Records have now added MOTHER MISERY, a Swedish earworm factory to their label catalog that will delight all fans of gritty Hard Rock, hard grooves, energetic and earthy vocals and catchy melodies with their very special "Supersonic Rock".
