Title:	Autarkic taste

Currently the Croats are delighting some Modern Metal fans with their fourth album „Oyka!“, the first English language release in the discography. The fact that guitarist Marko also rocks as a vocalist with Manntra just as spiritedly as he does honestly benefits the refreshing material extremely functionally. And it is not only in matters of music that the man has his own ideas and views anyway, as he carelessly reveals.

Which is the lousiest record in your collection?

Marko: „St. Anger“ by Metallica. It is really one of the worst record ever made for me. Not only the sound of the drums which is legendary now but the whole band sounds so dislocated and apart from each other. And the songs are just bad (beside maybe one to two songs).

Why you haven’t disposed of this bad disc yet?


Marko: I totally forgot to own it. I found it recently and gave it a try after 10 or more years. I was expecting something like ‚okay, maybe now I will understand that the album is pure gold‘ but no. It sounded just too funny and funky in term of production decisions. But for sure they (or Lars) where brave enough to try and this is why I give them kudos.

With which big record of music history you cannot do anything?


Marko: Kanye West's „808s & Heartbreak“ marked the end of humanity. Music in mainstream just went to total shit after that album created a great influence to new generations. Thank you Kanye for ruining the radio. Fuck you!

Which song on the radio do you switch off immediately?


Marko: Any trap song. It is incredible dumb. I feel uncomfortable for the artist while listening to it.

Which of your own songs you don’t like anymore?


Marko: I really don't like any song from our second Croatian album called „Venera“. It was a tough period for me and I would rather forget the feeling around that period.

Which artist isn’t your cup of tea at all?


Marko: Foo Fighters. Yeah they are legends … but for me are just a bunch of McDonald among the top American ‚pretenders‘. He is the super nice guy always smiling, he is a Rock god ... he is just boring … like the songs and the band ... I'll skip any time.

With which film classic do you fall asleep to immediately?


Marko: Does it count if it is a TV series? If so ... then any „Star Trek“ will send me to deep space in few minutes, haha!

Which is the ugliest city you toured?


Marko: The winner is Eastern Europe for sure and for now topping it at the top ugliest cities I visited are Bucharest and Belgrade.

What should not be known about you?


Marko: That I really really really enjoyed my 5 minutes of hate while writing this, haha!
