➤ "… epic, highly expressive and cathartic on both vocal and instrumental fronts … depressive one minute and triumphant the next! Melodies fit for the drumming of war or for nights of hot victory … a beautiful piece … finest classically inspired Black Metal … music that will turn you into a snob … and rightfully so. Brilliant!"

➤ "… synth and atmospheric mists engulf me. Shredding rhythms add to an effect that is undeniably Black Metal in tone though with an alluringly hypnotic slant. The motif continues and successfully transports me from my daily woes to drop me into an evocative ethereal soundscape … a brilliant cover and manipulation of Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio #2 caps off an amazing Atmospheric affair that’s sure to be celebrated come end of year list time."

➤ "WITCHER's perfectly enchanted Black Metal thrives on emotions and painted moods. This is difficult to describe using conventional Metal criteria. WITCHER belongs — if I may say so — to that branch of Black Metal in which flowing guitar and keyboard sounds interact to shape the image of each individual song."

➤ "… not an album for quick consumption … unfolds its effect over time and repetition. Those expecting classic song structures or immediate highlights will not find them here. However, those who can engage with slow developments, dense soundscapes, and a consistently sustained mood will find a quiet, yet lasting companion in WITCHER's new work."

➤ "I have been a fan of this band ever since hearing their previous release, 'Lélekharang'. I said then and I’ll say it now, Black Metal can be beautiful music and WITCHER proves it. 'Öröklét' takes you on a musical journey that is more like a soundtrack to ancient times where nature was revered. Absolutely essential."

➤ "... slowly build up the tension and give the songs plenty of space ... focus entirely on epicness ... following Orff, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky, this album also features a cover of a classical song: Franz Schubert ... as a musical element, the voices act like an independent instrument in the overall magic ... a powerful atmospheric Black Metal album that is highly recommended to fans of the genre ..."

➤ "… shaped by wide synth arches, steady tremolo flows and a melancholy expanding across long, unbroken movements … stands as a vast, self-contained whole. The synths form the grounding core, the tremolo riffs draw the lines, the voices and rhythmic figures give direction and depth to the movement. The melancholy of the album fills the entire space. The result is atmospheric Black Metal on a scale rarely achieved with such clarity and magnitude."

➤ "… what might have sounded crude in the hands of another band takes the listener's breath away … subtle magic … they continue their characteristic path of atmospheric Dark Metal, becoming ever more unique and setting themselves apart from imitators. ➤ "Ancient-sounding synths open the way: not to impress, but to call … guitars move like branches in late autumn — melodic, warm, deeply nostalgic … drums don’t push the epic; the melodies do — rising like something remembered from far away … voice does not scream to convince. It remembers. This is Black Metal that accompanies, not overwhelms. A journey through reflection, ascent, sorrow, and quiet return …"

➤ "Although the spiritual kinship with old Summoning is unmistakable – especially in those catchy, soaring motifs that linger in the memory – WITCHER interprets this heritage in their own way. ➤ "… the keys can be quite majestic, but the distortion always keeps it grounded so it still feels weighty … both moving and archaic at the same time … if you like Black Metal that is heavy on the atmosphere, WITCHER’s 'Öröklét' is a good place to dive into the genre, especially if you don’t normally care for it."

Right at the boundary between darkness and light, where the ecstatic dance of the wind-summoning witches sets the flow of time in motion, the duo, who are deeply connected to nature, celebrate the new songs.
As the spiritual successor to "Lélekharang", "Öröklét" features four new compositions and a Schubert adaptation, where the icy monumentality of BLACK METAL intertwines with the timeless grace of classical harmony.
"Öröklét" was released on November 4, 2025, on CD and cassette via Filosofem Records, with the vinyl edition to follow later in November through Beverina Productions.
The band reveals about the cover artwork:
"This record is not merely music - it is a gateway. Whoever crosses it will never be the same again. It is a moment of realization, when one understands that everything fades… and yet, everything remains eternal. Once again, we have our friend Balázs Pénzes (Grafit & Hamu Artworks) to thank for the artwork. We asked him to capture the message of the song 'Eternity' in a way that would visually connect with our previous album, 'Lélekharang'. The image is very clear: the young witch bids farewell to the old witch, who has passed on all her knowledge. Thus, she has attained eternity, for she lives on within the other."
From the very beginning, catchy melodies and elevated mood took important parts in the music. The lyrics are mostly about witchcraft, Hungarian folklore, adherence to old values, and the maximum opposition to the modern world.
In the past years, next to several demos, split albums, two full-length albums were born under the band’s flag ("Csendes domb" – 2015; "A gyertyák csonkig égnek" – 2019), and the year 2022 opened a new dimension for WITCHER in many aspects.
The time has come for the watershed’s third album, which was released on CD, tape and vinyl on October 8th, 2022, entitled "Lélekharang". In every respect, the album represents a completely new level in the band’s life, and even the first music videos were shot in connection with it.
In 2024, a special EP was released under the banner of WITCHER, titled "Boszorkányszimfóniák", featuring classical music adaptations in the band’s distinctive style.
