➤ "... a magnificent, almost 35-minute masterpiece ... there is little more to say about ‘Öröklét’, as it is based on a single musical framework and thus forms a masterful unity that makes it one of the most beautiful albums of 2025 for me."

➤ "I have been a fan of this band ever since hearing their previous release, 'Lélekharang'. I said then and I’ll say it now, Black Metal can be beautiful music and WITCHER proves it. 'Öröklét' takes you on a musical journey that is more like a soundtrack to ancient times where nature was revered. Absolutely essential."

➤ "WITCHER has always captured my imagination with its simple but extremely effective blend of keyboards and heavy Atmospheric Black Metal. 'Öröklét' develops its own melancholy, and fans will undoubtedly be won over by its dark haze."

➤ "... a formation that lives and breathes atmosphere in the truest sense of the word ... emotions spread out, transporting you to unknown dimensions where there seems to be no suffering, no violence, and no pain ... anyone who wants to escape the current depressing reality should give WITCHER's fourth album a chance to unfold."

➤ "It's no exaggeration to say that 'Öröklét' is at the forefront of global Atmospheric / Epic Black Metal. Wonderful sounds, revealing their true richness slowly, piece by piece."
(Forever Misanthropia)
➤ "… have managed to achieve a feat that many in the symphonic subgenre attempt but few execute with such purity: they have created an album where the ‘symphonic’ elements are not merely ornamental frosting on a stale riff-cake, but the very structural foundation of the darkness."
(Black Metal Archives)
➤ "… what might have sounded crude in the hands of another band takes the listener's breath away … subtle magic … they continue their characteristic path of atmospheric Dark Metal, becoming ever more unique and setting themselves apart from imitators. A precious and irreplaceable jewel in the world of imaginative, passionate music."
(Radio Excaliber)
➤ "… dare I say Witcher has stepped into the major league Hungarian Black Metal ranks? Along Sear Bliss, for best example? At this point, I don’t see a way for them to be denied … deserves much more than it seems to be getting."
(Abaddon Magazine)
➤ "Ancient-sounding synths open the way: not to impress, but to call … guitars move like branches in late autumn — melodic, warm, deeply nostalgic … drums don’t push the epic; the melodies do — rising like something remembered from far away … voice does not scream to convince. It remembers. This is Black Metal that accompanies, not overwhelms. A journey through reflection, ascent, sorrow, and quiet return …"
(Metal Sorceress)
➤ "… a magnificent work ... you feel like you are witnessing a ritual …"
(Legacy)
➤ "… excellent … a great album …"

Right at the boundary between darkness and light, where the ecstatic dance of the wind-summoning witches sets the flow of time in motion, the duo, who are deeply connected to nature, celebrate the new songs.
As the spiritual successor to "Lélekharang", "Öröklét" features four new compositions and a Schubert adaptation, where the icy monumentality of BLACK METAL intertwines with the timeless grace of classical harmony.
"Öröklét" was released on November 4, 2025, on CD and cassette via Filosofem Records, with the vinyl edition to follow later in November through Beverina Productions.
The band reveals about the cover artwork:
"This record is not merely music - it is a gateway. Whoever crosses it will never be the same again. It is a moment of realization, when one understands that everything fades… and yet, everything remains eternal. Once again, we have our friend Balázs Pénzes (Grafit & Hamu Artworks) to thank for the artwork. We asked him to capture the message of the song 'Eternity' in a way that would visually connect with our previous album, 'Lélekharang'. The image is very clear: the young witch bids farewell to the old witch, who has passed on all her knowledge. Thus, she has attained eternity, for she lives on within the other."
From the very beginning, catchy melodies and elevated mood took important parts in the music. The lyrics are mostly about witchcraft, Hungarian folklore, adherence to old values, and the maximum opposition to the modern world.
In the past years, next to several demos, split albums, two full-length albums were born under the band’s flag ("Csendes domb" – 2015; "A gyertyák csonkig égnek" – 2019), and the year 2022 opened a new dimension for WITCHER in many aspects.
The time has come for the watershed’s third album, which was released on CD, tape and vinyl on October 8th, 2022, entitled "Lélekharang". In every respect, the album represents a completely new level in the band’s life, and even the first music videos were shot in connection with it.
In 2024, a special EP was released under the banner of WITCHER, titled "Boszorkányszimfóniák", featuring classical music adaptations in the band’s distinctive style.
