"Compass To Your Heart's Desire" ist das Debütalbum von KATE NORD als Solokünstlerin, mit einem speziellen Gastsolo von Timo Tolkki, bekannt von den finnischen Power Metallern Stratovarius.

"Compass To Your Heart's Desire" ist inspiriert von skandinavischen Volksmärchen über Trolle und Feen und den Illustrationen zu diesen Märchen, wie z.B. den Werken von John Bauer, sowie von Fantasy-Romanen und den Werken des weltberühmten Fantasy-Großmeisters J. R. R. Tolkien.
"Compass To Your Heart's Desire" ist eingebettet in wunderbar kraftvolle Heavy/Power Metal-Sounds mit knallenden Drums und wütenden Distortion-Gitarren, die oft vor vollmelodischen, eingängigen Ausbrüchen strotzen.

FLASHBACK:
Ihre erste Veröffentlichung als Solosängerin war eine Coverversion von Howard Blakes "Walking In The Air" im Jahr 2017.
Kates musikalischer Lebenslauf umfasst formale Studien in klassischem Gesang in Finnland und Italien. Sie begann ihr Musikstudium in Porvoo, Finnland, bei der Pianistin Diana Bärlund, die auch die ehemalige Lordi-Keyboarderin Awa (Leena Peisa) unterrichtete.
Kate trat bereits als Texterin der italienischen Progressive-Power-Metal-Gruppe Noveria auf, seit die Band 2013 gegründet wurde. Sie war auch als Gastsängerin auf Noverias Album "Forsaken" zu hören, das 2016 über Scarlet Records veröffentlicht wurde.
