"'Beautiful Beast' befasst sich mit der Anziehungskraft einer toxischen Person. Hierbei wird vor der Person - dem "Biest" - gewarnt. Sie wird als sanft und wunderschön beschrieben, mit einem äußeren Erscheinungsbild von sozusagen 'jungfrauenhafter Reinheit' und seidener Stimme.Doch der Schein trügt, denn, hat man sich erst einmal blenden lassen, gibt es kein Entkommen mehr. Das Biest wird einen rücksichtslos benutzen und einem das Leben zur Hölle machen. Musikalisch basiert der Song auf einem wiederkehrenden Gitarrenriff, welches dem Hörer direkt zu Beginn durch ein Streicher-Intro vorgestellt wird. Der Track vertritt die wildere, rohere Seite von DARK LIGHTNING, fällt aber trotz aller Geradlinigkeit insbesondere durch den abwechslungsreichen Mittelteil dennoch nicht zu simpel aus."

"The Demons We Create" ist das erste große Release von DARK LIGHTNING und stellt eine deutliche Weiterentwicklung des individuellen SYMPHONIC METAL-Bandsounds dar.
Thematisch widmet sich das tiefsinnige Werk dem inneren Kampf mit persönlichen Dämonen und der Auseinandersetzung mit vergangenen Erfahrungen. Die düstere und betont emotionale Atmosphäre wird durch variantenreiche Vocals, treibende Gitarrenriffs und orchestrale Elemente unterstrichen, die dieses hörenswerte Album zu einer intensiven musikalischen Reise machen können.
Im Vergleich zu früheren Veröffentlichungen hat die aufrichtig zu sich selbst vorgehende Formation ihren spezifischen Sound weiterentwickelt und dabei merklich verfeinern können.
Während die symphonischen Einflüsse bestehen bleiben, sind auf "The Demons We Create" verstärkt Dark- und Melodic-Metal-Elemente zu hören.
Die Songs sind insgesamt aggressiver und dynamischer geworden, mit markanter Gitarrenarbeit und einer breiten, ergiebig genutzten Palette an vokalen Ausdrucksformen, welche sich von klaren, emotionalen Passagen bis hin zu kraftvollen Growls erstrecken.

Zukunftspläne
Nach der Veröffentlichung von "The Demons We Create" wird sich DARK LIGHTNING 2025 auf Live-Auftritte und Festivals konzentrieren, um den neuen Sound entsprechend auf die Bühne zu bringen.
Neue Singles sind ebenfalls in Planung, um die musikalische Entwicklung von DARK LIGHTNING weiter voranzutreiben und die Band-Präsenz in der Metal-Szene zu verstärken.
