In late 2004 four German guys from the area of Black Forest had the idea of forming a new band. As the accordion was part of all songs the band decided to include a full-time player early 2005. Motivation for serious studio recordings grew immensly, so the band booked studios in order to record three enormously promising songs. After releasing their fantastic EP „Wiege der Finsternis“ in March 2006 the band made more and more a solid name in the global Folk Metal genre. After some successful onstage time the giant debut album "Weltenkraft" was produced in February and March 2007 and released in July of the same year. While Finsterforst continued playing shows, more new great songs came about. Five more epic, grandiose and mighty hymns in the typical style of these horde saw the light of day. These songs were recorded July 2008 and were released via Einheit Produktionen February 2009 under the title "...zum Tode hin". Einheit Produktionen now unleashes the very rare and sought demo & the debut album on one sophisticated digipak-2-CD, "Urwerk", with an fantastic exclusive bonus track, called "Försterhochzeit"!!
