Extremly talented Swedish artist Kristian Wåhlin (representing himself alias Necrolord in the past) was born 1971 in Gothenburg. Beside painting finest graphical art for the metal music genre he is also active as a guitarist and singer. So Wåhlin founded the band Conquest in 1986 and later he formed the influential Death Metal troup Grotesque with well known singer Tomas Lindberg. After the demise of Grotesque, he created the short lived Blackend Death Metal horde Liers In Wait, released has been the mini album "Spiritually Uncontrolled Art". From the remains of Liers In Wait he created the Avantgarde Dark Metal band Diabolique in 1995. He also plays in the Death Metal band Decollation under the alias-name Chris Steele and he is active as guitarist in the Modern Extreme Metal act The Great Deceiver. Some of his finest works are brilliant front-covers for well known acts as Emperor, Morgana Lefay, Witchery, Dissection, Sacramentum, Sacrilege, Lake Of Tears, Tiamat, Ensiferum & Dark Funeral among many others. |
